This is the preliminary home page for the Scottish Social Forum, and exists to aid in the coordination and promotion of the Scottish Social Forum, which seeks to provide a common platform for those who seek to put Social Justice and Sustainability at the heart of policy in Scotland.

SOCIAL FORUM ON CLIMATE CHANGE

Saturday 6 December
10am - noon
MONO
12 Kings Court, King Street, Glasgow

The Climate Change demo will depart from the Amphitheatre, nearby, at 12.30.

4 workshops are on the agenda:
- Further Fora / Social Forum
- Policy Programme (x2)
- Just Transition

The workshops will be participatory based and all are welcome to contribute to create a movement of actions to tackle climate change and environmental issues.

Past Events

The group that organised the social forum event in Edinburgh Uni a couple of weeks ago is planning meeting again on Monday 10th November from 6-7.30pm in Cafe Hula near the Theatre Royal in Glasgow to discuss what kind of event we are going to have on the 6th December.

All are invited/welcome to attend. Following on from the Edinburgh event, the thoughts at the moment are to try and book a venue to host a discussion/event prior to the demo - hopefully near the Broomielaw start point.
